There have been many mass shootings and other acts of terrorism in recent years. Many, of which, have occurred in schools. The leading cause of preventable death during these heinous acts is blood loss. Death from major bleeding can occur in minutes. Many times, this happens before first responders can get to the injured victims. We hope that in the event of a tragedy, whether intentional or accidental, that our community will have the knowledge and equipment needed to respond and potentially save lives. The Capital Area – Surviving the Bleed Foundation hopes to address this need by raising funds to provide bleeding control kits and bleeding control training to local schools and the general public.

The Capital Area – Surviving the Bleed Foundation is a non-profit organization that is 100% funded through donations. Your donation will be used to help purchase bleeding control kits and equipment
The mission of the Capital Area – Surviving the Bleed Foundation is to raise funds through public donation to purchase bleeding control kits and bleeding control training equipment. Our vision is that educators in East Baton Rouge Parish will have access to quality bleeding control training using the right equipment and that every classroom is protected with their own bleeding control kit.
Our goal is to raise $250,000 to purchase 10,000+ bleeding control kits and bleeding control training resources and equipment. This will provide us with the opportunity to put a bleeding control kit in every classroom in every school (public and private) throughout EBR Parish.
